Lucy Penelope Snow is the heroine of the story.[1] She ends up enrolled at Hollow Fields by accident after mistaking it for Saint Galbat's Academy for young ladies where she was meant to be enrolled.
She often carries with her a stuffed dinosaur toy named Dino. She later modifies him to contain a grappling hook.
Appearance[]
Lucy is a nine-and-a-half year old girl with short orange hair and blue eyes. She wears a red and black striped tights and a large red hair ribbon along with the school uniform: a black sweater with a white shirt and red tie underneath, a black skirt, and black shoes.
Personality[]
Lucy is a trusting and friendly girl, and is unafraid to talk to new people, make new friends, or ask for help. She is very open and wears her heart on her sleeve. She loves learning and is very imaginative. She loves dinosaurs and reading books.[2] She can faint sometimes when confronted with shocking or grotesque things.[3] Despite this, she, according to Dr. Bleak, is gifted at mad science[4][5], if daft sometimes[4].
History[]
She lived an average life until the story's beginning. Her parents are dentists.[2]
Chapter 1[]
Lucy is en route to Saint Galbat's Academy for Young Girls, and asks a hooded man for directions to it. He gives her the directions, and says that while she could cross through the forest, to beware something. Lucy runs off before he can finish. She accidentally enters Hollow Fields instead, and a robot attacks her, saying that the school is private property. When Lucy states that she is just there to enroll, Miss Notch leaves the machine, apologizing, and gives her a tour, ending in her new room.
