Hollow Fields Wiki

"The school caretaker and warden. Stinch's race, age, and true gender are all unknown (though the Engineers refer to him as 'he' for convenience). He is believed to be a product of Weaver's bio-medical experiments. His intelligence and vocabulary are fairly limited, and most of his tasks involve ensuring that unwilling children do not escape from the school grounds. A hulking, lumbering creature, he exists to do the dirty work of the staff and is always eager to follow orders, particularly when they involve tormenting less talented students."

- Hollow Fields School Files, Vol. 1[1]

Stinch is one of the staff at Hollow Fields. It is debatable whether or not he is an Engineer, as sometimes "Engineers" refers to only the humanoid staff and not Stinch and other times includes him. He is the school caretaker and his job mainly consists of catching and punishing children who break the rules, whether that be through skipping class or going out after curfew. He is also meant to monitor the bridge in and out of the school.[2] His skill at his job is questionable.

Appearance[]

Unlike the rest of the staff, he doesn't look humanoid at all and is instead more like a stuffed sack stitched together with nubby legs and arms and a mohawk of red hair. His eyes are blank circles that can move to expression emotion, and he has two stitches coming down the center of his forehead - alongside the stitches covering his entire body. His teeth are rounded and he's prone to drooling.

Personality[]

His intelligence is much lower than the rest of the staff and than most of the student body as well, and is very violent and cruel. His anger and violence is blunt and to the point rather than twisted around in fancy words like the other engineers can be prone to. He is rather lazy, and only tries to do the bare minimum of his tasks.[3]

History[]

He was created by Miss Weaver to be the "perfect watchdog" for the school and was molded from scrap, which is far from Weaver's usual specialty of clockwork robotics.[3]

Abilities and Tools[]

He often carries around a staff that ends in a half moon that is designed to resemble a clockwork gear.[2]

He can spit chains out of his mouth to catch people and pull them towards him.[4]
